Background and career
Chaikin Analytics describes Marc Chaikin as its founder and credits him with a long career as a trader, stockbroker, analyst, and brokerage options-department head. Its team page identifies him with Chaikin Money Flow and the development of computerized stock-selection tools. Those are company-supplied biographical statements. They provide context for a research business centered on indicators and ratings, but they are not equivalent to an independent audit of newsletter results or a guarantee that a reader will obtain the advertised investment outcomes.
There is also a dated public record of the technology's earlier commercial presentation. A March 22, 2011 press release announced the Chaikin Power Tools iPhone application and described green and red stock ratings. It discussed backtesting of the model and a proposed forward-looking use over several months. Because this was a company announcement, its performance descriptions should be read as attributed product claims. Backtested model evidence, an application's rating history, and actual subscriber trading results are different forms of evidence and should not be merged.
Newsletters, pricing, and refund terms
Power Gauge Report is the subscription behind the Hidden AI Stocks campaign. As listed at time of writing in Green Bull Research's September 15, 2025 review, the advertised offer was $149 for the first year, compared with a stated normal price of $499 annually, and included a 30-day money-back guarantee. That is a dated offer, not a verified present price. The report's stock selections and the availability of a broader analytics platform should not be assumed to be identical purchases.
Marc Chaikin's Power Profits is a separate product. Stock Gumshoe's May 12, 2025 review of its self-driving technology campaign described a price of $1,499 annually and no refunds. This is a material difference from the Power Gauge Report offer. The reviewed archive also distinguishes Power Gauge Investor from Power Profits, describing the latter as more focused on smaller growth companies. Before paying, save the actual checkout page and the terms attached to that particular offer. Record the initial charge, subscription length, renewal charge, cancellation process, and refund deadline. Ask whether a satisfaction guarantee means a cash refund or credit toward another publication. Also check whether a trial includes a second newsletter with its own renewal. Do not assume that a price or refund policy reported for one campaign applies to every product sold under the same publisher's name.
Investing style and recurring themes
Chaikin Analytics describes the Power Gauge as a 20-factor model combining fundamental and technical inputs. The company's explanation emphasizes financial characteristics as well as market behavior, rather than a single chart pattern or a purely narrative recommendation. Green Bull Research's 2023 AI review similarly discusses earnings, expert-related inputs, and the model's preference among the companies it examined. Those descriptions explain how the product is marketed. They do not establish that every factor is independently predictive or that a bullish rating removes valuation risk.
The reviewed advertisements also use familiar newsletter themes: an AI opportunity outside the most crowded names, a stock to avoid, and an approaching catalyst. A useful evaluation should separate the rating framework from the promotional wrapper. Ask whether the advertised idea is currently supported by the same model described in the product literature and whether the recommendation allows exceptions. A colorful rating is a research input. It is not a substitute for understanding the company, the proposed holding period, or the conditions under which the service would change its view.
Recent teaser campaigns and identified stocks
Green Bull Research's December 18, 2023 review explicitly identified Pure Storage as Chaikin's number-one AI pick in that presentation. The same article listed other possible AI selections obtained from an anonymous reader but expressly said it could not verify them. Those secondary names are excluded below. This distinction matters because a review can contain both a clear identification and an unverified list. The presence of a ticker somewhere on a page does not make it adequate evidence of a confirmed teaser recommendation.
The September 15, 2025 Hidden AI Stocks review explicitly identified Uber and said the remaining hidden selections were not disclosed with sufficient clues. The review's additional examples are not counted as recommendations. Separately, Stock Gumshoe's May 12, 2025 article examined the Power Profits self-driving technology moonshot campaign and its May 22 catalyst claim. This profile discusses that campaign's documented product terms but does not add an identification based only on later reader comments. The picks list is intentionally shorter than the requested range rather than padded with guesses.
How the picks have done
Use the live picks table on this page for the latest available price comparisons. The dates in this profile identify publication of the linked public sources, not necessarily the dates subscribers first received recommendations. A teaser identification is also not a complete trading record. Before drawing conclusions, open the underlying article and check whether it describes a new recommendation, a recycled promotion, a bonus report, or another analyst's contribution. Those distinctions matter when comparing the table with a publisher's advertised results.
Stock Gumshoe explains that its tracking generally assumes buying when a teaser was first seen or discussed and holding indefinitely. It also warns that splits, acquisitions, missing quotes, and ticker changes can cause errors. Our selected teaser records should therefore not be read as an audited newsletter portfolio. Evaluate the same holding period against an appropriate benchmark, distinguish price changes from total returns, and account for subscription costs separately. A few successful identifications cannot establish the results of every recommendation, and a few disappointing ones cannot establish the results of an entire service.
The selected Pure Storage and Uber entries come from different campaigns and publication years. They are not a sample of every bullish Power Gauge rating or every stock in a paid portfolio. A model's claimed effectiveness would require a broader, consistently defined set of observations than two decoded promotions. Use the live table for the available current comparisons, then ask whether a publisher's performance discussion concerns a model, a backtest, a newsletter, or actual trades. No numerical claim about overall Power Gauge outperformance is made here.
Regulatory record and complaints
No personal securities-enforcement finding against Chaikin was located in the sources reviewed for this profile. That is a limited statement about this research, not a comprehensive legal clearance or an endorsement. This profile does not publish an unverified BBB grade or turn anonymous dissatisfaction into an adjudicated finding. It also does not infer investment misconduct from the fact that a rating changed, a promoted stock declined, or a subscription cost more than a reader expected.
The documented consumer issue worth emphasizing is the difference in guarantees between products. The 2025 Hidden AI Stocks review described a 30-day money-back guarantee for its Power Gauge Report offer. The May 2025 Power Profits review described no refunds for its offer. A reader should not rely on the cheaper product's policy when purchasing the more expensive one. Preserve the exact terms attached to the transaction, and distinguish cancellation of future billing from recovery of a payment already made. The reviewed evidence does not support a broader complaint count.
How to evaluate his pitches
A useful evaluation starts after the mystery ticker has been identified. Write down the business claim, the expected catalyst, the valuation assumption, and what would make the thesis wrong. Then compare the advertisement with the company's filings and investor materials. Separate an industry's growth from the portion of that growth the particular business might capture. Decide in advance how much research you need, what position size would be acceptable, and whether you would still want the stock without the promotion's deadline or dramatic headline.
For a ratings-based service, request a clear explanation of the relationship between the score and the recommendation. Ask how frequently the score changes, what holding period is intended, and whether there are rules for selling or reducing exposure. Distinguish evidence for the full model from examples selected for a sales presentation. When comparing a backtest with a subscriber experience, check whether the same timing, costs, universe of companies, and trading rules are involved. If those details are absent, avoid filling them in with favorable assumptions.
Bottom line
Chaikin's business has an identifiable analytical framework and a documented history of presenting market indicators to individual investors. That can be useful to someone seeking a repeatable screening process. It does not make a rating a guarantee or establish that a paid newsletter will improve every reader's results after fees. The most productive response to a dramatic campaign is to identify the actual stock and examine whether the model, company fundamentals, and price support the same conclusion.
The evidence retained here is deliberately narrow. Pure Storage and Uber were clearly identified in the reviewed editorial sources; other names appeared as guesses, reader claims, or examples and were omitted. That restraint keeps the live table from implying more certainty than the sources provide. Consider the subscription only after deciding what research function it would serve, verifying its exact refund terms, and determining how you would use or challenge its ratings rather than simply following their colors.
