Background and career

InvestorPlace identifies Louis Navellier as the editor of Growth Investor. Its analyst directory describes his origins in a graduate-school stock-selection project. That is the publisher's account of his background, not an independently audited explanation of later investment results. His publishing work should also be distinguished from the investment-advisory business Navellier & Associates. The SEC and federal appellate court records discussed below concern that advisory business and Navellier personally, rather than a generic complaint about newsletter predictions.

Navellier's public InvestorPlace writing provides a more concrete view of his process than broad career superlatives. A December 9, 2024 article describes revising Stock Grader recommendations after examining institutional buying pressure and fundamental health. It separates quantitative, fundamental, and total grades. This is evidence of the framework he presents to readers, not proof that a high grade guarantees a profitable purchase. A grading system still needs to be evaluated against the price paid, the investment horizon, and the record of subsequent changes.

Newsletters and pricing

Growth Investor is the newsletter tied to the AI Master Key and QaaS promotions documented here. Green Bull Research's August 31, 2023 Master Key review described a $49 first-year promotional subscription and a 90-day money-back guarantee. Its May 7, 2024 QaaS review also listed a $49 annual promotional offer. These amounts are historical prices, as listed at time of writing in the respective reviews. They should not be presented as a universal current subscription rate.

Stock Gumshoe's QaaS analysis recorded $49 for the first year and $79 per year afterward. Its December 2023 AI Blueprint article described a different $29 sale price. That variation makes the order form more useful than a single headline price. Before paying, check the initial term, renewal charge, refund deadline, and whether any accompanying premium offer is a separate purchase. A low introductory price does not establish the total cost of following every later promotion.

Investing style and recurring themes

Navellier's public grading article emphasizes company fundamentals and buying pressure, while the teaser campaigns translate those ideas into broader technology stories. The AI Master Key campaign used a picks-and-shovels argument: own a supplier exposed to AI activity rather than choose among many young application developers. Green Bull Research identified Nvidia as that pick. The source's identification is useful for understanding the promotion, but the phrase Master Key is advertising language, not a financial category or a guarantee of diversified exposure.

The QaaS promotion moved into quantum computing while including established technology businesses as bonus ideas. Green Bull Research identified IonQ, CrowdStrike, and Microsoft. Those companies were not presented as identical businesses, and a reader should not evaluate them with one generic technology-growth assumption. Ask how the writer's grading process relates to the specific sales story. In particular, distinguish evidence of present operating performance from expectations about a market that the promotion says could become much larger over time.

Recent teaser campaigns

The August 31, 2023 Green Bull Research review explicitly identified NVDA as Navellier's AI Master Key investment. The May 7, 2024 QaaS review explicitly identified IONQ as the principal quantum-related selection and CRWD and MSFT as bonus selections. These four public identifications form the table below. The table does not include every company mentioned in the articles, because a background reference or industry example is not necessarily a teased recommendation.

Stock Gumshoe's AI Blueprint article, published December 19, 2023, documented another Growth Investor promotion built around three AI stocks and a claimed blueprint for profiting from the theme. Its QaaS page also explains that the article was originally published in April 2024 before being re-shared in July. For this profile, the selected picks instead use the independently dated Green Bull Research pages. This avoids silently treating a repost date as an original trade date or reconstructing a subscriber recommendation from an updated headline.

How the documented picks have done

The live picks table on this page is the place to inspect the documented securities and available current pricing. This biography does not assign a fixed return to Navellier or infer a success rate from four promotional names. The source dates mark when public analyses appeared. They do not establish when Growth Investor first recommended the stocks, what subscribers paid, or whether a later sell instruction changed the newsletter's exposure.

A proper review of a quantitative newsletter would need its complete recommendation history, including downgrades, exits, and unsuccessful ideas. It would also need a consistent benchmark, dividends, corporate-action treatment, and subscription costs. The December 2024 grading article illustrates that ratings change, so a static list cannot reproduce the ongoing process. Use the table as a transparent starting point for checking specific campaigns, not as a substitute for an audited composite or a complete account statement.

Regulatory record and complaints

There is a significant primary-source regulatory record. The SEC's June 4, 2020 litigation release says a federal court entered final judgment against Navellier & Associates and Louis Navellier after finding violations of Sections 206(1) and 206(2) of the Investment Advisers Act. The case concerned misleading marketing of Vireo AlphaSector strategies. The SEC reported more than $30 million in monetary relief. This was a court judgment, not simply an anonymous complaint or an unresolved allegation.

The First Circuit's July 16, 2024 opinion affirmed the consolidated appeals before it. That appellate outcome belongs alongside the original SEC account so readers are not left with an outdated description of the case as merely pending. The documented conduct concerned advisory-strategy marketing; this profile does not extend those findings to every InvestorPlace article or stock recommendation. No BBB grade is included because a dated, correctly matched BBB record was not established here.

How to evaluate his pitches

Begin with the actual business behind the nickname. For Master Key, ask what drives the supplier's revenue and how much of the expected AI expansion is already reflected in its valuation. For QaaS, separate technical progress from commercial revenue and then distinguish the principal speculative pick from the larger bonus companies. A reference to a prominent entrepreneur does not establish a direct investment relationship between that person and every stock in the report.

Also require a clear distinction between backtested results, model results, and actual results. The regulatory case makes careful reading of performance language particularly relevant, but the same discipline applies to any newsletter. Ask what was known when the selection was made, whether losing positions remain visible, and whether the stated comparison includes fees and comparable risk. Finally, preserve the order form and treat the subscription purchase separately from the decision to buy the promoted security.

Bottom line

Navellier is an identifiable InvestorPlace editor with a publicly described quantitative and fundamental screening framework. His sourced promotions offer concrete companies to investigate, including semiconductor, cybersecurity, software, and quantum-computing names. Those facts do not validate the large upside language used in the campaigns. A stock can be connected to a growing industry without being attractively priced at the moment a reader encounters the advertisement.

The advisory enforcement judgment and the 2024 appellate affirmance are material background and should not be omitted or softened into vague references to controversy. At the same time, the factual record should be described within its actual scope. Evaluate the subscription terms, inspect the complete performance evidence if available, and research each ticker independently. The live table and linked analyses support that work, but they do not establish the results of every newsletter recommendation or provide personalized investment advice.
